Join award-winning poet, novelist and current Writer in Residence at the University of Edinburgh, Claire Askew, as she discusses her debut crime novel All the Hidden Truths. Centred on the tragic killing of 13 young women at Three Rivers College by fellow student and gunman Ryan Summers, All the Hidden Truths is a crime novel that begins with whodunnit, and goes on to ask why. The story is told through the killer’s mother, the mother of the first victim and DI Helen Birch, who is put in charge of the case on her first day as a Detective Inspector. Touching on themes of masculinity and public outrage, All the Hidden truths is at turns a tense crime novel and an emotional look at tragedy.
